And Here’s the Rest of the Story

On July 12th we told you about a overloaded car making its way to Southwest Harbor. Today I found out the rest of the story.

I'm told that the family was taking their grandfather to Gott's Island for the final time. They had loaded up the car with provisions so they could stay on the Island for 3 weeks, and that their grandfather could enjoy his last trip to the Island.

They had been to Hannaford, and inside was loaded down with groceries and everything for the family to enjoy this last trip.

Grandpa is now off the Island and back to Waterville. I hope the final trip was full of memories and that everyone had a great time. Now excuse me while I wipe away the tears from my eyes.
