Tremont and Southwest Harbor Pre-K Is a Go

With the recent passage of the Tremont and Southwest Harbor school budgets, FREE public Pre-K will begin in September for children of residents of Southwest Harbor and Tremont. Here's the information

• The program will be located at Pemetic Elementary School in Southwest Harbor
• Students must be 4 years old by October 15, 2021 to register
• Students will attend with classmates from their hometown
• Each group will attend 5 half days each week
• The program will follow the MDIRSS AOS #91 school calendar
• Breakfast and snack will be offered to the AM group. Lunch and snack will be offered to the PM group.
• Transportation will be available in each town for families in need of transportation

During the 1st Semester Tremont students will go in the morning Arrival - 8:15 am and Depart 11:15 a.m. Southwest Harbor students will go in the afternoon with Arrival 11:50 a.m and Depart 2:50 p.m.

In the 2nd Semester Southwest Harbor students will go in the morning, Arrival 8:15 a.m. and Depart 11:15 a.m. and Tremont students will go in the afternoon with Arrival 11:50 a.m. and Depart 2:50 p.m.
