Red Sox Lose 4th In-a-Row Falling to Angels 7-0
The Boston Red Sox have lost 4 games in-a-row, after being shutout by the Angels 7-0 at Fenway Park Friday night. Boston was held to just 3 hits and committed a season-high 3 errors in the game.
Tanner Houck, who had not allowed a run this season gave up 7 runs Friday night, 4 of which were earned in 5.2 innings. He struck out 2 and allowed 12 hits.
Brennan Bernadino came on and shutdown the Angels. He pitched 1.2 innings and didn't allow a hit or run, striking out 2.
Chase Anderson pitched the final 2.0 innings, striking out 2 and didn't allow a hit or run.
Jarren Duran was 1-3 and doubled in the 3rd inning.
Masataka Yoshia was 1-3 with a single in the 2nd inning.
Pablo Reyes had Boston's other hit.
The Red Sox were without Rafael Devers who missed his 2nd consecutive game with a sore left shoulder. Bobby Dalbec started in his place at 3rd base and was 0-3.
Reid Detmers picked up the win for the Angels and went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 hits and stuck out 7 and walked 2.
Taylor Ward hit his 4th homer for the Angels, a 2-run homer in the 6th inning.
