MDI Hospital Cardiac Rehab Graduate Tom Lawson [VIDEO]

February is Heart Awareness Month, and WDEA's Chris Popper spoke with Tom Lawson, who "graduated" from MDI Hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

Tom is the father-in-law of MDI High School Basketball Coach Justin Norwood and jokingly said that if MDI loses to Ellsworth again he might have to go back through cardiac rehab! In the more serious part of the interview, Lawson spoke about the excellent care he received, the defibrillator vest he wore while fishing as well as the communication between the Cardiac Rehabilitation program and his different doctors. He talked about the sense of security he had while rehabbing at the hospital and that carried over while continuing his rehabilitation at home.
