Summer Scrub Club: Exploring Health Careers For Teens

Students interested in exploring a future in healthcare are invited to register for MDI Hospital's Summer Scrub Club: Health Career Exploration, a 2-day hands-on program designed for students entering grades 7-12 in 2026.

The Summer Scrub Club will take place at MDI Hospital's Lisa Stewart Women's Health Center at 330 Main Street in Bar Harbor June 16-17 from 9 to 3:30 each day.

The program will offer students a unique opportunity to learn about a variety of healthcare careers, practice basic skills, and connect directly with local healthcare professionals. Through interactive activities and real-world insights, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the many paths available in today’s healthcare field.

The cost to attend is $30, which includes lunch for both days. Summer Scrub Club is hosted by Eastern Maine AHEC at Healthy Acadia in partnership with Mount Desert Island Hospital. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. To learn more and register, click HERE
