The MDI Trojan's Girl's Soccer Team lost a hard fought game to the Hermon Hawks in Hermon on Saturday afternoon, September 19th by the score of 2-1.

Hermon's Brianna Saulter put the Hawks up on the board 9:49 into the first half from a give-and-go pass from Alex Allain taking a hard shot 22 yards out that escaped the hands of MDI goalie Julianna Cleaves.

Hermon was awarded a penalty kick with 47 seconds left before the end of the 1st Half Emi Higgins converted on the penalty kick giving Hermon a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Opal Curless provided the lone goal for MDI  when she hit a high lofting shot from the right side about 26 yards out.

MDI goalie Julianna Cleaves finished with 5 saves on 16 shots. Hermon goalie Bryanne Crouse made 4 saves on 14 shots.

MDI is now 4-2 on the season and will play at Old Town on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:30 PM.

Hermon is now 4-0-1 and will play host to the John Bapst Crusaders on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6 PM.
