Hermon 9 MDI 5

The MDI Trojans lost to the Hermon Hawks 9-5 in a Class B Baseball game on Thursday, April 28th. Hermon was down 5-1 in the bottom of the 6th inning but erupted for 8 runs to win the game.

For MDI Matt Perconti pitched 5.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Riley Swanson pitched the final .2 innings allowing 5 runs.

Hermon was led by Zach Nash with a double, a single and two RBI’s. Alex Applebee added a double and single.

For MDI Alden Fournier had 2 singles. Mac Shea had a single and Jacob Mitchell had a single and double.

MDI is 2-2 on the season and will play host to Presque Isle in a doubleheader on Saturday April 30th at 12 Noon and 2 PM.

Hermon is 4-0 and travels to Caribou on Satuday April 30th for a doubleheader at 12 Noon and 2 PM with the Vikings.
