The Nokomis Girls Basketball Team outscored MDI 17-8 in the 4th Quarter to come away with a 51-44 preseason scrimmage win in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, November 29th.

MDI led 14-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 26-23 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led by 2 points 36-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Sophia Brophy who finished with 12 point. Lexi Tozier had 10 points, including a 3-pointer. MDI was 1-4 from the free throw line.

Nokomis was led by Camryn King and Brianna Townsend who each finished with 14 points. The Warriors drained 6 3-pointers. Brianna Townsend had 4 3-pointers, and Danica Migliore and Raegan King each had a 3-pointer. Nokomis was 11-21 from the free throw line.

MDI will open the regular season on Friday December 9th when they host John Bapst at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on our free downloadable APP, on any Alexa enabled device and on WDEA Internet Radio.

Nokomis opens the regular season on Tuesday, December 13th at home at 6:30 p.m. against Bangor.
