Hermon Baseball Beats Ellsworth 11-1

The Ellsworth Eagles Baseball team lost 11-1 to Hermon Hawks on Tuesday, April 28th at Hermon High School.

Nick Guerrette picked up the win for Hermon. He allowed one run over six innings. Guerrette struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

For Hermon Matt Leach was 1-4 with a RBI, Tyler Beaton was 2-4 with a triple and 1 RBI, Nick Guerrette was 1-3 with a RBI, Connor Farmer was 1-2 with a RBI, Gresley Langbein was 1-3 with a RBI, Zach Nash was 2-3 with 2 doubles, Henry Patten was 1-2 with a RBI, A Shelley was 1-1 with a double and RBI, Christian Greener was 3-3 with a double and RBI.

Nicholas Bagley took the loss for the Ellsworth Eagles . He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walking three and striking out two. Charlie Libby pitched one inning allowing 5 runs 4 of which were earned. Libby gave up 5 hits, walked 1 and struck out 2.

The Ellsworth Eagles scored their only run of the game on an RBI double by Phil Barbeau in the second inning. Conor Maguire, Nicholas Bagley, Charlie Libby and Alex Braley all had singles for Ellsworth.

Ellsworth is now 0-2 and will host MDI on Thursday, April 30th at 4:30 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA. Hermon is now 1-0 and will play host to John Bapst on Thursday, April 30th at 4:30 PM.
