Former Trojans and Eagle Excel at UMPI Invitational X-Country Race

The University of Maine Presque Isle hosted their Cross Country Invite on Saturday, September 4th and there were great performances by former MDI Trojans and Ellsworth Eagles.

Katelyn Osnorne, now a sophomore made her collegiate running debut, finishing in 2nd place overall, and 1st for UMPI, running the 4K race in 18:47.40. Osborne graduated from MDI High School in 2020

Ponce Saltysiak who graduated in June from MDI, now is a freshman at Maine Maritime Academy. In his 1st race he finished 2nd overall, with a time of 21:15.37 for the 6K race.

Stephen Grierson, now a sophomore made his collegiate running debut, finishing 4th overall and 1st for UMPI. He ran the 6K race in a time of 22:28.51. Grierson graduated from MDI High School in 2020.

Matt Shea, who is a sophomore made his collegiate running debut for Thomas College. Shea who graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2020 finished 9th overall, with a time of 23:57.36
