EHS Boys Rally to Beat Washington Academy 53-51 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Eagles Boys Basketball Team rallied to beat the Washington Academy Raiders 53-51 on Tuesday night, February 23rd at Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 19-15 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Washington Academy outscored Ellsworth 14-13 in the 2nd Quarter to cut the lead to 3 points, 32-29 at the end of the 1st Half. In the 3rd Quarter Washington Academy outscored Ellsworth 16-10 to take a 45-42 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter. But Ellsworth outscored the Raiders 11-6 in the final Quarter to come away with the win.

Ellsworth was led by Hunter Curtis with 20 points while Chance Mercier had 14 points. The Eagles only had 3 3-pointers on the night, with 1 each from Miles Palmer and Hunter Curtis. The Eagles were 1-2 from the free throw line.

Washington Academy was led by Jax Lin with a game high 25 points. Cecil Gray had 14 points and Andon Wood finished with 12 points. The Raiders had 3 3-pointes, 2 by Wood and the other by Lin. They were 6-13 from the free throw line.
