Ellsworth Boys Soccer Starts Season 1-0 with 2-1 Overtime Win Over Hermon

The Ellsworth Boy's Soccer Team started the 2026 season 1-0 with a 2-1 overtime win over the Hermon Hawks on Saturday afternoon, September 5th at Tug White Stadium.

Riley Smith had a goal and an assist for the Eagles.  Porter Merrill had the other goal. Hunter Winslow had an assist.

Brayden Pooler and Ryder Montgomery shared time in goal for the Eagles.

Ellsworth, now 1-0 will travel to the University of Maine in Orono to play John Bapst on Tuesday, September 8th at 6 p.m.

The Hawks, now 0-1 will host Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday, September 8th at 6 p.m. at Pottle Field.

In the JV game, Hermon beat Ellsworth 2-1. Owen Seura had the JV goal for Ellsworth. Ryan Crosthwaite was in goal for the Eagles.
