MDI Varsity Volleyball Beats Wells 3-0

The MDI Varsity Volleyball Team opened the defense of their Class C State Title with a 3-0 win over Wells at Yarmouth on Friday, September 4. The individual set scores were 25-14, 25-8 and 25-21.

Individual MDI standouts according to Coach Whitney Walls included.

• Ella Watson - 13 aces, 4 digs
• Cora VanDongen - 10 aces, 6 kills, 3 digs
• Janiece Anderson - 8 kils, 3 digs, 1 solo block
• Caroline VanDongen - 3 aces, 15 assists, 1 dig, 1 block assist.

MDI is now 1-0. They will host Brewer on Tuesday, September 8th at 6 p.m.
