Dr. Marc Gousse the AOS 91 Superintendent joined WDEA's Chris Popper to talk about the decision to revert to remote learning from January 4 - 15, 2021 and what steps will be necessary to open the schools back up to in person learning

Some of the questions and topics Dr. Gousse addressed were what went into the decision to close the schools and revert to remote learning even though the Maine Department of Education has classified Hancock County as "Green"; the discussions with School Board Chairs and other Hancock County Superintendents; the psychological and emotional effects on students; if schools are the safest place, why aren't kids there and what parents, students should do if they have questions or needs during this closure.

Parents of elementary and middle school students should go HERE if they need to know about picking up learning materials and/or food as we have all the information from Conners Emerson, Tremont Consolidated, Pemetic, Mount Desert Elementary and Trenton.
