Our SPCA of Hancock County Pet of the Week has the experience and know-how to keep someone company on a daily basis.

Meet Etta, a green-eyed beauty blessed with bold tabby stripes and a brown freckled nose that keeps her looking way younger than half her age. She may be about 12 years old, but this spunky short-haired tabby is full of life and is happy to tell you all about it!

Etta would make a great companion cat for a lonely somebody or possibly even a family - we’re not exactly sure how she will do with kids at this time but she loves people and greets them eagerly.

What Etta does not like, and she is very vocal about this, are other animals. If she so much as smells another cat or dog nearby, she starts hissing to warn them that she’s not happy they exist! She is a talker through and through, though, and has not shown signs of aggression beyond chatter.

We think she is a darling and would make a purrfect only fur child.

Call to schedule an appointment to meet with Etta!  Call (207) 667-8088, or email at info@spcahancockcounty.org.

The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs available for adoption. It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. Donations are always accepted.
