Common Good in Southwest Harbor Needs Your Help
Do you have a few extra hours that can be used to help our friends and neighbors? The Common Good in Southwest Harbor serves delicious popovers and homemade oatmeal, jellies and butter every Thursday - Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m but they also serve as a food bank helping to feed our friends and neighbors on Mount Desert Island.
Like every organization, they need more volunteers, and hopefully you can help out, or know of someone who can help them out. If you can please stop in and see Laurie, or give her a call at 207-479-5313.
The Common Good needs
- 3 delivery drivers to deliver food to those who can't come pick it up
- 5 volunteers to help at the Common Good inn various ways
- Someone who can pick up a u-haul, drive to Hampden for food to be loaded by a forklift, drive to Common Good where a crew will unload the food, then return the u-haul once every 3 weeks.
They also desperately need a refrigeration person to come hook up our new 8x8 outside walk in cooler in Southwest Harbor.
