Joe Kelly dug his teammates a hole that was too deep on Tuesday night, as the Boston Red Sox fell to the Baltimore Orioles 6-4. Kelly, pitched 3.2 innings allowing 5 runs, on 8 hits. He struck out 2 and walked 1. The big hit was a 3 run homer to David Lough in the top of the 2nd inning to make the score 4-0.

The Red Sox would score in the bottom of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, but Baltimore added insurance runs in the 4th and 6th innings. In the bottom of the 9th with the score 6-3, the Red Sox added another run,but it wasn't enough.

Pablo Sandoval was 3-4 for Boston and Hanley Ramirez was 2-4.
