The Boston Red Sox beat the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 on Tuesday night as Trevor Story hit a 2-run bases loaded double and Garrett Crochet pitched into the 6th inning.

Crochet went 6.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs, striking out 7 and walking 2 to improve his record to 2-1.

Jacob Misiorowski had retired 13 of the 1st 15 Red Sox batters before walking the bases loaded on 3-straight walks when Story delivered, driving in 2 runs.

Caleb Durbin pinch-hit in the 6th inning and drove in the 3rd run on a RBI groundout.

Willson Contreras was 1-2, walking twice.

Jarren Duran walked, to extend his career-long, season opening, on-base streak to 9 games.

Zack Kelly retired the final 2 batters in the 7th inning. Garrett Whitlock pitched a hitless 8th inning, striking out 1. Aroldis Chapman earned his 3rd save of the season, pitching the 9th inning, walking 1, facing 3 batters.

Boston is 3-8 while Milwaukee is 8-3. The 2 teams will play the final game of the 3-game series and end the Red Sox homestand with a game Wednesday afternoon. The pregame starts at 12:35 with the 1st pitch at 1:35 on WDEA AM 1370.
