AYS 7/8 Boys Win

Congratulations to the Acadia Youth Sports 7/8 Boy's team that won the 2016 Orono Hoops Classic this weekend, winning the championship on Sunday, February 28th.

The team, coached by Adam Gray Steve Phillbrook and  Connor Morey went 4-0, defeating ABA "B", Old Town YMCA, and DEFY (Ellsworth) twice. According to Coach Gray, Steven Pierce his a 3-pointer at the buzzer to win their semifinal game against Ellsworth. In the finals, against Ellsworth, Erik Merchant scored 17 points to lead the AYS Team to victory.

The AYS 7/8 Team is comprised of Erik Merchant, Ethan Merchant, Steven Pierce, Nick Corson, Nick Dmitrief, Jack DaCorte, Nate Phillbrook, Porter Isaacs, Brady Renault and Oliver Blank

The AYS 5/6 Team finished 3rd this weekend. Good job boys!
