The MDI Trojans Girl's Soccer Team was upset by the Caribou Vikings on Saturday, October 3rd in Caribou, losing 2-1.

Ellie Bridgers scored the lone goal for MDI  just 3:34 minutes into the game when Darcy Kanu crossed the ball from the right wing and Ally Bender redirected the ball finding Bridgers who took a one touch volley out of the air from about 14 yards out.

Maddie Doucette tied the game up 1-1 with 26:03 left in the first half when she connected on a Eileen Patton through pass with a low hard ball to the far post.

With 7:05 left before halftime, Doucette provided the game winning goal off a Amber Moir assist.

Caribou goalkeeper Jaelynn Doody made six saves on 14 shots while MDI goalkeeper Keely McConomy made four saves on 13 shots.

MDI is 7-3 and plays host to Washington Academy on Wednesday October 6th at 4:30 PM.

Caribou is 6-4 and plays at Fort Kent on Wednesday October 7th at 5 PM.
