The MDI Boy's Basketball Team has lost only 3 games this season, one of them to Caribou on December 30th 60-57, and the Trojans got their revenge on Saturday, January 23rd, defeating the Caribou Vikings 69-42 in Bar Harbor.

A day after the MDI Girl's Basketball Team defeated Presque Isle 47-41the Trojans played Caribou on Saturday afternoon, January 23rd. Coach Brent Barker cautioned the girls about a let-down, and he needn't have worried, as the Trojans came out flying, playing inspired basketball, defeating the Vikings 66-26.

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team picked up a big win over Caribou on Friday, January 22nd in Ellsworth at Katsiaficas Gymnasium, defeating the Vikings 46-29. Ellsworth led 8-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and then took a 26-13 lead over Caribou at the end of the 1st Half, outscoring the Vikings 18-9 in the 2nd Quarter...

After suffering their 1st loss of the season on Wednesday, December 30th to Presque Isle, the Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team started a new winning streak, defeating Caribou 64-41 on Thursday, December 31st and finish 2015 with a 6-1 record, good enough for 4th place in the Heal Point Standings.

The Ellsworth Eagle's Boy's Basketball Team made it a perfect 2-2 County Trip when they defeated Caribou 51-38 in Caribou on Thursday, December 31st.

The Ellsworth Boy's and Girl's Swim Team won their meet against the combined team of Presque Isle/Caribou/Maine School of Science and Mathematics (known as Carlisle) Ellsworth on Friday December 19th in Ellsworth. The next meet for the Ellsworth Swim Teams is on Wednesday, December 23rd when they will compete against Orono at the University of Maine. Here are the results of the Ellsworth-Carlisle

The MDI Trojans Girl's Soccer Team was upset by the Caribou Vikings on Saturday, October 3rd in Caribou, losing 2-1. Ellie Bridgers scored the lone goal for MDI  just 3:34 minutes into the game when Darcy Kanu crossed the ball from the right wing and Ally Bender redirected the ball finding Bridgers who took a one touch volley out of the air from about 14 yards out...

You could find lots of excuses why the Ellsworth Eagles might lose at Caribou when they played on Saturday, September 19th. They had just come off a hard fought victory against their rival MDI on Thursday September 17th. They had a 4 plus hour bus trip up to the County and they were without 7 players because of injuries and absences...

It was a good day for MDI Soccer fans, as the MDI Boy's and Girl's Soccer Teams notched victories over Caribou, to start the 2015 Soccer season.

Earlier today, we posted the PVC Baseball All Star Team and the PVC Softball All Star Team. I wanted to separately post the All Academic Teams for the PVC because quite honestly, they deserve it! It's easy to forget that these are students, but that's exactly what they are, student-athletes, and they deserve all the accolades!
