You could find lots of excuses why the Ellsworth Eagles might lose at Caribou when they played on Saturday, September 19th. They had just come off a hard fought victory against their rival MDI on Thursday September 17th. They had a 4 plus hour bus trip up to the County and they were without 7 players because of injuries and absences.

But, the Ellsworth Eagles refused to lose, defeating the Vikings 3-2 to stay perfect on the season with a 6-0 record.
