Taste of Bar Harbor [VIDEO]

It seems hard to believe after the winter that we had, but the Taste of Bar Harbor is quickly approaching, and will take place May 14-17, 2015! WDEA's Chris Popper sat down with Alf Anderson, who is the new Event's Coordinator at the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce and the two discussed the 2015 event!

The Taste of Bar Harbor kicks off Thursday night, May 14th with the Dessert Night Contest. Purchase your ticket for a taste of the sweet side of Bar Harbor. Each ticket holder is entitled to a ballot that provides a walking map and list of all participating venues. Ticket holders will be entitled to one dessert sample from the over 20 participating venues, and then will have a chance to vote on their favorite. The venue with the most popular dessert will receive a $500 cash prize!

On Friday night, it's the ever popular Pub Tour! Come try a taste of the best wine and beer that Bar Harbor has to offer. Each ticket entitles the holder to 10 sample tickets and a commemorative tasting glass and a walking map of all participating venues. With different beers and wines featured at different location, it's a great chance to explore the bars and restaurants of downtown Bar Harbor. This is a 21 plus event.

On Saturday, it's the Chef's Table ! Purchase your ticket for the festival's most prestigious event, the annual Chef's Table. Join us at one of the tables each hosted by one of Bar Harbor's finest chefs. Each chef will prepare and serve a special 5 course private dinner for each table, highlighting their particular cuisine and pairing it with fine wines. Your table will be revealed at a private pre-dinner reception at 5pm, with dinner being served at 6:30pm. This event is limited to 60 people.

There's also the Sidewalks Sale and Craft Fair.

And then on Sunday, it's the annual Waiter's Race and Eden Farmer's Market!
