Southwest Harbor’s Flamingo Festival Cancelled for 2020 [PHOTOS]

Another gut punch! The Harbor House in Southwest Harbor announced that the annual Flamingo Festival scheduled for July 10-12 had been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the cancellation there are still plans to turn the Town of Southwest Harbor pink and to display flamingos. There are also plans to still have the craft fair in some manner.

I have broadcast from the Flamingo Festival for the last 10 years or so. It's really Maine at it's finest with the Town coming together, with great fun from a parade that shuts down the Town, a blueberry pancake breakfast, craft fair, activities for children and more.
