MDI Girls Outlast Presque Isle 64-56 in Double Overtime [STATS]

Free throws win games! That was never more true than on Tuesday, December 30th as the MDI Trojans went 18-30 from the free throw line, including going 9-13 in overtime, as MDI outlasted Presque Isle 64-56 in double overtime.

The Wildcats were 7-18 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle led 13-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 26-20 at the Half. They led 41-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter, as they hit 6 3's thru three quarters. But MDI outscored Presque Isle 16-9 in the 4th Quarter to tie the game 50-50 at the end of regulation. The game was tied 55-55 at the end of the 1st overtime.

MDI was led by Avery Norwood who had a game-high 21 points, with 1 3-pointer. She was 6-7 from the free throw line. Lilli Hanf had 18 points, including 8 points in the 3rd Quarter and was 4-4 from the free throw line. Lilly Norwood had 9 points with a 3-pointer. Lilly Collins had 8 points and was 4-6 from the free throw line in the 2nd overtime.

Presque Isle was led by Emily Collins with 12 points, on 4 3-pointers. Georganna Curtis had 12 points. Maddy Putnam had 3 3's for 9 poin6s.
