#3 MDI Falls to #2 Cony 2-1 in Class B North Semifinals

The #3 MDI Trojans fell to the #2 Cony Rams 2-1 in the Class B North Semifinals on Saturday, June 12th.

MDI took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 5th inning when Colin Sullivan tripled home Preston Tripp.

Cony scored both of their runs in the bottom of 6th inning, when Parker Morin doubled, scoring a pair of runs.

MDI threatend in the  top of the 7th but with runners on 1st and 3rd, and 2 out,  the runner at 1st was picked off to end the game.

Colin Sullivan pitched for MDI. He allowed just 3 hits and 2 runs, striking out 7 and walking 4.

Landen Perry picked up the win for Cony.. He allowed 5 hits and 1 run, striking out 10 and walking 4.

Preston Tripp  and Colin Sullivan each had 2 hits for MDI. Cameron Graham had a single.

MDI ends their season with a 12-6 record.

Cony, now 16-2 will play the winner of the Ellsworth-Hermon semifinal in the Class B North Regional Final on Tuesday, June 16th at the University of Maine in Orono.
