MDI Girls XC Win Eastern Maine’s

The MDI Girls Cross Country Team won the Class B Eastern Maine Championship held at the Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

The top 8 teams advance to the State Finals. MDI won with 57 points followed by Caribou with 67 points, John Bapst in 3rd place with 109 points, Camden Hills in 4th with 133 points, Waterville in 5th place with 155 points, Ellsworth in 6th place with 168 points, MCI in 7th place with 197 points and Presque Isle in 8th place with 208 points.

MDI's top 5 runners finished 2nd, 5th, 6th, 11th  and 33rd. Their other two runners finished 34th and 37th.

Haley Lawrence from Ellsworth was the overall individual winner, with a time of 19:51.28. Ellsworth's top 5 runners finished 1st, 19th, 36th, 53rd and 59th.
