The MDI and Ellsworth Girl's Cross Country Teams qualified for the State Cross Country Championships next Saturday, November 5th after they finished 1st and 4th respectively in the Northern Regional Cross Country Championships in Belfast on Saturday October 29th. The States will be held in Belfast, the site of today's championships. MDI's Tia Tardy finished 1st overall.

The Top 5 teams qualified for the State Meet and they were 1. MDI, 2. Camden Hills 3. Caribou 4. Ellsworth and 5. Waterville
