Ellsworth and Orono Battle in Unified Basketball

The Ellsworth and Orono Unified Basketball Teams battled in Katsiaficas Gymnasium on Monday, February 11th with the Red Riots coming out on top 82-68, but as always in Unified Basketball there really isn't a losing team.

For Ellsworth Robbie Walters and Brandon Garland each had 18 points. Rob diPretoro had 8 points while Abby Counter, Makayla Chase, Caleb Wasson and Jacey Morse each had 4 points. Chipping in 2 points each were Madison Gilley, Tyler Mitchell, and Keegan Gray. Brandon Garland had 2 3's for the Eagles.

Orono was led by Isaiah Walker with 19 points with a 3-pointer. Taylor Lane had 12 points and Emma LaBree and Benny Cobo-Lewis each had 10 points. Jerry Torres had 8 points with 2 3's. Jacob Long had 7 points with a 3 pointer. Damian Jenkins had 6 points. Molly Booth, Shawn Schuurman , Corbin Smith each had 2 points.

Ellsworth is back in action on Thursday, February 14th, Valentine's Day when they play at Orono at 3:30.

Weather permitting Orono will host Mattanawcook Academy on Wednesday, February 13th at 3:30
