In a game broadcast on Ticket TV, the Ellsworth Eagles shutout the Old Town Coyotes 6-0 in Old Town on Thursday, May 28th.

Jackson Berry started on the mound for the Eagles. He went 5.1 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 10 while walking 4 to pick up the win. Evan Haskell closed out the game, pitching the final 1.2 innings, striking out and walking 1, while holding Old Town hitless.

Barry helped himself at the plate going 2-3 with a pair of doubles and driving in a run. Dawson Curtis was 2-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Joey Beal was 2-2 with a double. Brayden Seckilich was 2-3 with a pair of runs batted in.  Gunnar Vines had a single and run batted in. Porter Merrill and Caleb Jordan each had a single.

Merrill had a stolen bse.

Alex Bean stared on the mound for Old Town. He pitched 4.0 innings allowing 9 hits and 5 runs, all earned. He struck out 4 and walked 3. Jake McCannell pitched the final 3.0 innings allowing 2 hits an 1 run. He struck out 3 and walked 1.

Jackson Brawn, Michael Carroll and Alex Bean singled for the Coyotes.

Ethan Closson, Jake McCannell and Michael Carroll each had a stolen base.

Ellsworth is now 14-1. They play their final game of the regular season on Tuesday, June 2nd when they host MDI at 4:30 p.m.

Old Town is now 8-5. They play a doubleheader up in Caribou against the Vikings on Saturday, May 30th.
