Winter Parking Bans on MDI

Some towns on Mount Desert Island have already instituted winter parking bans, with other towns set to implement theirs later in the month. Here is a list

Town of Mount Desert - Winter parking ban is now in effect from November 6th through April 1st. There is no parking on any street in the Town of Mount Desert between the hours of 12 midnight and 6:00 AM or during periods when snow has accumulated and requires removal from highways, streets and alleys of the town. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Town of Bar Harbor - Winter parking ban goes into effect November 15th and lasts through April 15th. During that time, parking is not permitted on public streets or in municipal parking lots between 2AM and 7AM

Southwest Harbor - Winter parking ban goes into effect November 15th and last through April 16th. During that time, parking is not permitted on public streets between 10PM and 6AM.
