Whitney to Pitch in Maine-New Hampshire All Star Games

Congratulations to Ellsworth High School's Kate Whitney who was selected to pitch in the Maine-New Hampshire All-Star Softball Games on Tuesday, June 28th, in Rochester, New Hampshire. The games will be played at 4 PM and 6 PM.

Whitney, who graduated from Ellsworth High School on June 10th, is going to attend St. Joseph's College in Standish, in September and study Exercise Science and play for the Softball Team.

She pitched 3 shut out innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 6 on Thursday, June 23rd in the North-South All-Star Game. Whitney had a had a 10-4 record for Eagles, with a .211 ERA and 111 strikeouts in the regular season.
