In the Greater Bangor area we had a frost warning on Saturday night/Sunday morning and a freeze warning on Sunday night/Monday morning! Both mornings I woke up with temperatures outside around 28 degrees and the living room 55 degrees.

Both mornings it would have been easy to light the pellet stove or flick on the furnace. But, even though my wife would have liked to, we didn't! We have fleeces and sweatshirts on. We finally took the airconditioner out of the window last night, and shut the windows in the house, but still no heat.

I know that if we turn the heat on then it's a slippery slope, and we'll have a fire going or the heat on. I know it's only a matter of time, but it's a matter of pride! There were times when we would try to go to Veteran's Day without the heat, but that shrunk to Halloween and now it's Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day. I know the first rainy/windy/raw day it will go on, but c'mon today is still summer, technically, as Tuesday, September 22nd is the first day of Fall.

So my question to you is this
