The Ellsworth Eagles game against Camden Hills originally scheduled for Wednesday October 31 for the Eastern Maine Finals Boy's Soccer Championships was postponed until Thursday November 1st at 5 PM at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth, because of the continued rain from Hurricane Sandy. The game must be played on Thursday, as the winner will play the winner of the Western Maine Final between #3 Falmouth (11-3-2) and #2 Maranacook (14-0-2), on Saturday November 3rd in Scarborough.

According to the Bangor Daily News,  when Camden Hills defeated Presque Isle in the Eastern Maine Finals (Presque Isle defeated Ellsworth in the semi-finals), they became the only other team to win the Eastern Maine Title besides Ellsworth since 2008. Ellsworth defeated Camden Hills in 2010 Eastern Maine Final played in Ellsworth 3-2, in a game broadcast by WDEA AM 1370.

Like Ellsworth, Camden Hills is a very young team, as the Windjammers graduated all but one starter from a year ago. The Ellsworth Eagles are loaded with young talent, as there are ten tenth graders on the team, and only five seniors.

The Eagles hope to exact a little revenge for the Ellsworth Girls Soccer team who were defeated by Camden Hills in the Eastern Maine Quarterfinals on Tuesday, October 23rd in Camden 2-1. The Ellsworth Boys team defeated Caribou 2-0 on Saturday October 27th with goals scored by Josh Bean and Jack Weeks. Camden Hills defeated Winslow on Saturday in the other semifinal game.

WDEA AM 1370 will broadcast the Eastern Maine Finals as well as broadcasting it on WDEA Internet Radio and the game may be also heard on your smart-phone or IPad if you have downloaded the free app "Radio Pup" from the app store. Should Ellsworth advance to play in the State Finals on Saturday, that game will also be broadcast by WDEA AM 1370.
