MDI High School Fills 4 Fall Coaching Vacancies

MDI High School Athletic Director Bunky Dow announced on Friday afternoon that the 4 fall coaching vacancies have been filled.

Hired were

Girls JV Coach: Emily Boyle.

Emily graduated from UMaine-Farmington with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness. She played 5 years of soccer at UMF and was the team's captain during the 2023-2024 season. Emily has coached at the recreation level.

Varsity Girls Soccer Coach: Justin Harding.

Justin is the current JV Tennis Coach and a Math teacher at MDIHS. Justin's coaching experience includes

Head Girls Soccer Coach at Sumner High School 2018-2020
Asst. Boys Soccer Coach at Sumner High School 2018-2020
Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Sumner High School 2019-2020

Justin played soccer at Ellsworth High School

Assistant Football Coaches:

William Mossing graduated from Belfast High School and played on the team for all 4 years of his high school career. Will has coached for the Brewer Middle School, working with the linemen on the offense and defense sides.
Elias Burne graduated from MDI High School, where he played football all 4 years. He has worked with the AYS program for the last couple of years. He is employed as full-time member of the Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Police Department.
