Red Sox Down Yankees 3-2 in 1st Meeting of 2023

The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 3-2 in New York Friday night, June 9th. It was the 1st time the 2 teams had met in 2023! The Red Sox handed Gerrit Cole his 1st loss of the season, he's now 7-1.

Tristan Casas went 2-3, driving in a run.

For the Yankees, Josh Donaldson hit a home run, his 5th in the 6th inning.
