Police Release Identities of Drivers In Dedham Crash

State Police say a Milbridge man was killed and a man from Bowdoinham injured in a head-on collision Wednesday in Dedham.

WABI-TV reports 65-year-old Peter Haroutunian of Milbridge died when the Rav4 SUV that he was driving crossed the center line on Route 1A and struck a van traveling in the other direction. The driver of the van, 46-year-old William Beauregard of Bowdoinham, was taken by LifeFlight to EMMC with serious injuries.

Police shut down the road for 3 hours while they cleared the scene and reconstructed the accident. That crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call State Police at 973-3700.
