Join The Fun At Tremont’s Backside Blast This Weekend

The Quietside will be anything but this coming weekend when the Backside Blast returns June 26th through 28th. It's a 3-day celebration of community, tradition and Maine's working waterfront in Tremont and features lobster claws, fast cars and screaming diesels!

The fun kicks off Friday, June 26th with a Lobster Feed and Dance at Archie's Lobster on the Tremont Road in Bass Harbor. The lobster feed starts at 4 p.m. and is $25.00 per person. Live music with the Bullseye Band starts at 5 p.m. . The Pollock Frolic Relay starts at 4:30 for kids and 6 p.m. for adults. Register your team on the Backside Blast's Facebook Page.

WDEA will be broadcasting live from 3 to 6 p.m. and I can't wait to get photos of the Pollock Frolic!

On Saturday the 27th there's a car show, pig roast and live music featuring Matt and the Barnburners at Gordius Garage in Bass Harbor. The party starts at 10 a.m. and music at noon.

On Sunday, it's the 17th Annual Bass Harbor Lobster Boat Races on the town dock with breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 and races beginning at 10 a.m. Registration is from 8 to 9 a.m.
