Summer officially begins on Sunday, June 21, and we know that Downeast Maine will be a very, very busy place welcoming visitors to explore our beautiful state.

One such visitor was Fred Armisen, who stopped by Lubec Coastal Gifts on Friday, June 12.

Although we are not positive, but he must have stopped to see one of the most photographed lighthouses in Maine, located in Lubec, right?

Armisen was a member of Saturday Night Live from 2002 to 2013.

He was also bandleader and frequent drummer for the Late Night with Seth Meyers house band, the 8G Band, from 2014 to 2024

But did you know that he was the voice of Speedy Gonzalez from 2011 to 2015?

It's not the first time Armisen has been in Maine. He was spotted in Bangor in 2016.

Fred Armisen isn't the only comedian to visit Lubec, as Jimmy Fallon was seen there in September 2020. Fallon was also spotted with Lorne Michaels in 2017 at the Lubec Brewing Company.

We are always looking for celebrities in the Greater Bangor area and Downeast Maine! If you see someone and take a picture, please email us. Happy people watching!
