The Maine Department of Transportation announced that the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory will open for the season on Friday, July 3rd, with restrictions to combat COVID-19

The Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory is the tallest public bridge observatory in the world. The observatory will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The final elevator ride to the top departs at 5:30 p.m.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors will be required to wear masks. No more than two household groups (totaling no more than eight people) will be permitted on the observatory level at a time in order to facilitate social distancing.

Access to the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory is through Fort Knox in Verona. Admission to Fort Knox and the Observatory is $6.00 for Maine Adult Residents and $4.00 for Maine Children Residents. For those from out of state the fee is $8.00 and $4.00
