
Paradis Leads Schwartz for District 3 County Commissioner
With 91 percent of the votes counted, Paul Paradis is leading Ian Schwartz for District 3 County Commissioner. As of 7:43 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4th, election officials were just waiting for the Town of Hancock to report their votes.
According to the Ellsworth American and Mount Desert Islander Paradis led with 5848 votes while Schwartz had 4,181 votes.
District 3 is comprised of the towns of Bar Harbor, Cranberry Isles, Franklin, Frenchboro, Hancock, Lamoine, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Swans Island, Tremont and Trenton.
Paradis carried all the reporting towns with the exception of the Cranberry Islands where Schwartz won 64-63 and Frenchboro where the two were deadlocked with 10 votes each
