MDI’s Collin Named Gaziano Semi-Finalist

The Gaziano award committee announced Monday afternoon their list of 15 players that have been named semi-finalists for this years award.The award goes to the top senior offensive and defensive lineman in the state and is the largest high school scholarship of its kind in the country.

Seven lineman are up for the offensive award and eight are on the list for defense. The next step in the process is for the semi-finalists to have face-to-face interviews with the committee which will help determine the list of finalists.

The winner on offense and defense will each receive a $5,000 scholarship while four runner-ups will each get $1,000.
