
Bouchard, Storey Named Mr. and Miss Basketball
Kyle Bouchard of Houlton and Ashley Storey of Greely joined an elite group Friday night after being named Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball.The awards were presented at the Cross Insurance Center as part of the McDonald's East/West All-Star weekend and goes to the top senior player in the state.
Bouchard scored over 1,800 points and pulled down nearly 800 rebounds in his four year career. He led the Shires to a perfect 22-0 season in 2014 which ended with the Class C State Championship.
During his four years Houlton compiled a record of 69-17 while playing in three Eastern Maine Championships and one State Championship.
Next season Bouchard will continue his basketball career at Bentley College.
Storey led her team to the class B state championship this season where she posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. She had a dominating senior season averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds per game.
Storey also became the first girls player at Greely High School to score 1,000 career points.
Prior to the start of the season Storey accepted a scholarship offer to play basketball at the University of New Hampshire next season.
