MDI Tennis Sweeps Bangor Wednesday

The MDI Tennis Teams swept Bangor on Wednesday, May 12th, with the Girls winning 3-2  in Bar Harbor and the Boys winning 5-0 in Bangor. The MDI Girls Tennis Team is now 6-1 on the season while the Boys are 5-2. Here are the individual results.

Girls

• 1st Singles - Lelia Weir lost 9-8 (8-6 in tiebreaker)
• 2nd Singles - Austria Morehouse lost 8-4
• 3rd Singles - Avonlea Brown won 8-3
• 1st Doubles - Olivia Chandler/Kaitlyn Tompkins won 8-0
• 2nd Doubles - Jane Pope/Julia Percontin won 8-0

Boys

• 1st Singles - Westy Granholm won 8-0
• 2nd Singles - Finn Seyffer won 8-3
• 3rd Singles - Jack Hodgdon won 9-7
• 1st Doubles - Jameson Weir/Marshall Reiff won 8-0
• 2nd Doubles - Whit Chaplin/Moses Lincoln won 8-3

The MDI Tennis Teams return to the court on Friday, May 14th when they travel to Ellsworth to play the Eagles at 4 p.m.
