Ellsworth Girls and Boys Tennis Teams Win Prelim Matches

The Ellsworth Girls and Boys Tennis Teams won their Prelim Matches against Belfast and Erskine Academy respectively on Tuesday, June 1st at Ellsworth High School to advance to the Quarterfinals

The #5 Ellsworth Girls defeated the #12 Belfast Lions 4-1. Here are the results

• 1st Singles Bailey Clark lost to Madison Farris 1-6, 0-6
• 2nd Singles Sierra Andrews defeated Jasmine Cunningham 6-2, 6-0
• 3rd Singles Megan Jordan defeated Ada Curry 6-1, 6-1
• 1st Doubles Jocelyn Boudreau/Grace Gumpp defeated Josie Cowles/Taylor Lemon 7-5, 6-0
• 2nd Doubles Kahlan Keene/Briana Kane defeated Sarah Cournoyer/Liana Gobin 6-1, 6-1

They will host the #13 seed Old Town Coyotes who upset the #4 seed Foxcroft Academy Ponies Girls on Thursday, June 3rd at 11:30 a.m.

The #5 seed Ellsworth Boys Team defeated #12 seeded Erskine Academy Tigers 5-0 . They will play at Medomak Valley, the #4 seed who beat the #13 seed Hermon Hawks in the prelim. That match will take place Wednesday, June 2nd at 4 p.m.
