MDI Boys Tennis Defeats Washington Academy in Prelim

The MDI Boys Tennis Team defeated Washington Academy 4-1 in the Tennis Prelim Match at Bar Harbor on Tuesday, June 1st. Here are the results. Playoff Matches are best 2 out of 3 sets.

• 1st Singles Westy Granholm won 6-2, 6-0
• 2nd Singles Finn Syeffer lost 3-6, 5-7
• 3rd Singles Jack Hodgdon won 6-3, 6-4
• 1st Doubles Marshall Reiff/Whit Chaplin won 6-0,6-2
• 2nd Doubles MDI won by Forfeit.

MDI will play the winner of the prelim match between #3 Old Town and #14 MCI. If Old Town won, the Quarterfinals will be at Old Town. If MCI won, MDI will host the Quarterfinals. The Quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, June 3rd

Note - The MDI Girls are hosting the #10 seed MCI Huskies who defeated the 7th seed Presque Isle Wildcats in the Prelim Match. The Quarterfinals will be Thursday, June 3rd at 4 p.m.
