Area fire departments were toned out Saturday afternoon June 6th to Hinckley Yachts in Southwest Harbor after a building was struck by lightning. All Island Fire Departments and Trenton, Lamoine and Ellsworth Fire Departments were involved with mutual aid either fighting the fire or covering other stations.

According to Chief Chisholm from the Southwest Harbor Fire Department there were no injuries, and the fire was a 2nd Alarm Fire. Crews from Southwest Harbor, Tremont, Mount Desert, and Bar Harbor were on scene along with a Rapid Response Team from Ellsworth Fire Department. Trenton and Northeast Harbor Ambulance were staged at the Somesville Fire Department to cover the Island in the event there was another alarm
