The Ellsworth City Council announced that Ellsworth Police Chief Glenn Moshier will be the Interim City Manager until the Council selects a permanent replacement.

City Council Chair Dale Hamilton announced in a press release that the Council unanimously endorsed the selection of Chief Moshier for this interim assignment based on his demonstrated leadership abilities and the respect he has earned within the city. “The council is pleased that Chief Moshier is willing to take on this interim role. We are confident in Chief Moshier’s skills and believe that this is the best interim plan for the city, and in particular, the city employees.”

Chief Moshier will begin the interim role on September 8, 2020 and will work with Manager David Cole through September 21, 2020 which will be Cole’s last employment day.

Chief Moshier has worked for the City of Ellsworth for 16 years. Moshier graduated from the FBI National Academy on March 15th 2019. He was appointed Chief on February 14, 2017
