Ellsworth Girls and Boys Tennis Defeat Washington Academy Twice on Tuesday

The Ellsworth Girls and Boys Tennis Teams played a doubleheader of sorts on Tuesday afternoon. They were originally supposed to play Monday and then Friday later this week, but decided to play both contests Tuesday afternoon. The Ellsworth Girls and Boys won both matches. Here are the individual results.

In the Girls 1st Match the Ellsworth Team swept Washington Academy 5-0

• 1st Singles - Bailey Clarke won 8-5
• 2nd Singles - Sierra Andrews won 8-4
• 3rd Singles - Megan Jordan won 8-2
• 1st Doubles - Jocelyn Boudreau/Grace Gumpp won 8-2
• 2nd Doubles - Abby Bland/ Briana Kane won 8-2

The Ellsworth Girls then improved to 3-0 on the season, winning the 2nd Match 3-2

• 1st Singles - Bailey Clarke lost 2-8
• 2nd Singles - Sierra Andrews 6-8
• 3rd Singles - Megan Jordan won 9-7
• 1st Doubles Jocelyn Boudreau/Grace Gumpp won 8-4
• 2nd Doubles - Abby Bland/Kahlan Keene won 8-5

On the Boys side, the Eagles won the 1st match 4-1 for their 1st win of the season

• 1st Singles - Liam Stephenson won 9-7
• 2nd Singles - Tate Carter won 8-2
• 3rd Singles - Eli Pouwels lost 1-8
• 1st Doubles - Koa Barrett/Kai Barrett won 8-1
• 2nd Doubles - Owen Frank/Dallas Flood won 8-2

Then the Eagles improved to 2-1 on the season winning the 2nd match 3-1

• 1st Singles - Liam Stephenson lost 7-9
• 2nd Singles - Tate Carter won 8-4
• 3rd Singles - Eli Pouwels DNP
• 1st Doubles - Koa Barrett/Kai Barrett won 8-2
• 2nd Doubles - Owen Frank/Dallas Flood 8-2

The Ellsworth Tennis Teams are back in action on Wednesday, April 28th as they travel to Old Town to take on the Coyotes at 4 p.m.
