EHS Alum Keith Jordan Named 1st NAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Senior Scholar Athlete
Ellsworth High School graduate Keith Jordan has been name the 1st North Atlantic Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Senior Scholar Athlete!
Jordan who will be graduating from Maine Maritime Academy is a Power Engineering Technology major and two-sport athlete. He was named to the NAC Fall 2020 All-Academic team and has been named to Maine Maritime Academy's Dean's List.
A three-year member of the Maine Maritime men's cross country team and the team's 2019 Leader of the Year, Jordan was also a member of the men's swimming team during its club season in 2017-2018 and returned to the varsity program this year. Jordan served as a team manager for the women's volleyball team for three seasons and has been a student employee in the Athletics Department for all four of his years at MMA.
On campus Jordan is a member of the Curling Club, Campus Activities Board, and the Student Government Association Executive Board. He has also served MMA as an Orientation Leader & Orientation Presenter, and as a MMA Index Weekend Leader.
Jordan received the 2019 Student Government Leadership Award, which recognizes a student affiliated with the Student Government Association who has shown immense integrity and perseverance in striving to improve student life, and also received the 2020 Outstanding Collaboration Award which recognizes a member of the student body who has collaborated with multiple constituencies and has led with integrity to unify the student body and make significant contributions to the greater campus community.
Outside of Maine Maritime, Jordan is an Eagle Scout and volunteers with Hancock County 4-H.
